About This Site
I’ve been intending to put a blog up for as long as I can remember – there have been numerous abortive attempts over the years but hopefully this one will stick. The main reason for finally getting the site up and running was the opportunity to use WordPress 2.7. I’ve followed WordPress’ progress over the years but never really used it professionally as I didn’t have much demand for people wanting blog designs nor was it, in my opinion, good enough to work as a small site CMS.
That changed with version 2.6 and the new interface in 2.7 has made it easier still – so what better time to get my hands dirty.
I’ve based the design of the site on Derek Punsalan’s excellent Grid Focus template so please direct all praise for the original template to him and all criticism for my adaptation to me.
A Word on Web Standards & Internet Explorer
I work on making sites accessible and workable across every browser day in day out in my job. There are days when this goes well and days when making IE6 play nicely and behave in a vaguely similar fashion to other browsers completely eludes me. So for those reasons I haven’t even looked at this blog in Internet Explorer. It might work perfectly – I don’t know. If it doesn’t work, I suggest you consider another browser.
